I started making my own narrative-driven audio stories when I was feeling uninspired by academic writing in law school but was hella' excited for the legal research I was involved in. So I took a case from the Rwandan tribunal and started delving into non-fiction audio storytelling. My work and curiosity tend to be reflective, politically-nuanced and dots-connecting. Some of the pieces I've produced with my team have been included as part of the Harvard's Southeast Asian Studies materials.

In the earlier days, I produce and edit stories at In-depth Creative, an audio-first company based in Indonesia, here are some of my proudest pieces:

Komando in the Ring (Lead Producer, Story Editor)

Dimas’ pursuit of joining the Indonesian army was shattered in the hands of his own father, an esteemed army general. So he moved to Hawaii in the late 1990s to become a chef, only to find himself turning into an Indonesian soldier trapped in a foreign battle.

The Making of a National Food Culture Pt. 1 (Lead Producer, Story Editor)

A mother and son from East Nusa Tenggara Indonesia lived through the 60s and 70s, during times of great famine and instability in Indonesia. They recount the days they were forced to radically change their diet to eating instant noodles, a mega dietary project prompted by the Cold War.

I then worked on Eclipsed and Chameleon Season 5 at Campside Media in New York City. These are some of my favorite pieces:

Wormhole with Audrey Watters: Machines in the Classroom (Producer)

Writer Audrey Watters talks about the history’s attempts to automate the classroom and the psychologists that tried to remove emotions from education.

Disaster at Deer Island | 1. The Tunnel to Nowhere (Sound Designer, Assoc. Producer)

To fix an environmental catastrophe, Boston builds an other-worldly facility deep under the ocean floor. And to finish the job, the government calls in a crew with astronaut-like skills.

Walk ‘Til you Drop: The Rise and Fall of Pedestrianism (Producer)

A sucker is born every minute. Today we explore how competitive walking became a sensation, then disappeared from popular culture.

Chameleon Season 5: Dr. Dante (Associate Producer)

When a mysterious man approaches one of the most famous actresses in the world and asks her to dance, she falls for him almost immediately. He’s a strange hypnotist, he tells her. But after they tie the knot, she learns that his illustrious career on the stage pales in comparison to his other career: con man.

I also produce independently and supported other teams on projects:

In the first of a two-part episode on the metals of alchemy, we explore iron, bronze, lead, and copper. Our stories go deep into the basement of The Met, and back in time to a waterlogged ancient tomb. You’ll hear about books that dazzle, puppets that weep, and the long lost sound of a 2000-year-old bell.
